Courtyard 4

Artisanship with artistry

Schmuckwerk has resided in the Hackesche Höfe for many years. The workshop brings together craft dexterity and discerning design. One-off items, engagement and wedding rings, and mini-series are fabricated by hand here in the courtyard. The team devote particular passion to working with precious stones from all over the world that have formed naturally and remained untreated: tourmalines, aquamarines, garnets, moonstones, certified diamonds and many others.

Rather than using new gold and silver from mines, the Schmuckwerk team like to work with precious metals that have been recycled by certified processors or else recently extracted and sold under fair trade conditions. The workshop is also happy to take in old items of jewellery or precious stones and transform them into new favourites. Schmuckwerk was founded by the goldsmith Sabine Dubbers, who set up her own gallery in the district in 1992. She opened her shop in the Hackesche Höfe in 1995 after the renovations.
